Gen, A4A drummer, driver of the van, and shining light in a dark time, experienced a debilitating stroke on September 27. Rushed to the hospital, doctors determined surgery was not necessary but rehabilitation most certainly is. Fortunately, the Gen we all know is still here! But she has limited use of her leg and her arm and some speech therapy. The rub is that Oklahoma's shitty hospital system, instead of finding a rehab facility for her, just kicked her to the curb. If you know Gen and John, you know they live in the van as they tour. Gen would work temp jobs for the money they needed. Neither are able to drive, of course, and Gen needs lots of doctor appointments and therapy. They have a friend who is letting them stay with them for now but the main concern is finding stability as they do the hard work of applying for disability, therapy, and living day to day.
