Happy Halloween
Halloween is almost here,
the night in which we all hold most dear.
Children rising from their graves,
searching home to home for what they crave.
Living dead covered in gore,
are moaning "trick or treat" at your door.
To all of them and to you,
Happy Halloween and good frights too!

New Audio Page For Elmer Kilgore
My Grandfather Elmer Kilgore was, among many other things, a preacher. He spread the word for almost 60 years on KWCO/KOOL 105.5 FM out of Chickasha, OK. I built a Bandcamp site where people will be able to listen, stream and download his sermons. Currently I have only added one, but will add them little by little over time. Check out the page here: http://elmerjkilgore.bandcamp.com/

Aug/Sept Update
It's time for another update. Shows have been posted for September. Hope to see you all out at one of them. I am still waiting on confirmation date and time for this years Ragsdale Hootenanny. Trust me when I say all artists are looking forward to this after losing the venue last year. this year I know all of us Pott County boys will be there and Pee Wee Moore, as well as many others.
Isaiah left music entirely this past week. So I am looking for a drummer to fill in dates for September and possibly one to become a permanent fixture of The Prairie Fire. Please contact me if interested.
I also cut my finger pretty bad and at this time cannot play guitar. It should be healed and stitched out by the 1st of September though. Doctors told me not to worry about missing shows.
That's about all for now. Still not a fan of Internets, so look for sporadic updates. To tell the truth I really miss the days of cut and paste newsletters and postcards sent through the mail. Unfortunately, that's no longer the way the world works.
Until next time

Isaiah Harrell Leaves Music
With a sad heart it's time to say goodbye to Isaiah Harrell. We had a long road with it's ups and downs. A lot of people don't understand how he can come to a decision so suddenly, but I've been there. Maybe not for the same reasons, but I can empathize. I respect his decision as we all should. Enjoy the music he left for us. If he ever decides to come back he knows he has a place to make sounds with me and many others he has met along the way.
Here is a message from Isaiah himself:
"Sorry everyone, but music is no more for me. Thank you everyone for the amazing memories, I will cherish each and everyone of you. I have spent an amazing amount of time learning from some incredible individuals and have shared the stage with some of the most talented people I will every get to meet. I have written songs that have brought people to resolve, happiness, tears, sorrow, joy, excitement and so many other emotions that I can't even imagine. It is with tears in my eyes and sadness in my heart to say goodbye to everyone but I am through. To all the musicians out there keep your head up, to all of the people who are still on the rise... make it big for me. To everyone who has had my back from the age of 3, thank you all... your presence in my life was never overlooked. Enjoy the ride.... remember it's only a ride. I'm so sorry for anyone I have disappointed along the way, but it's over. Farewell: Isaiah Justin Harrell"
